<li>Construct University</li>
<li>Seismic Surveying 100 -- Optional, if you want to find oil before advancing then research this, if you don't care and want to advance faster then wait on it.</li>
<li>Diplomacy (100 Knowledge) -- Optional</li>
<li>Then save up for the 2,000 Knowledge needed to get to the Modern Age (second age) where your life will begin to get easier.</li>
</ol>

Remember in the Modern Age (second age) it costs 200 Food to train each worker so start saving soon...
