	To add a commander as a friend you need to go to their profile page which you can find by using the [[Empire Search]] button or by looking through the galaxies. Once you have found their profile page you need to click on the View Full link at the top right of their profile page or you can click on their picture. Once you have done one of those two options, you will be at their full profile page. On the bottom left of that page you will find the Add as Friend link. Once you have done one of those two options, you will be at their full profile page. On the bottom left of that page you will find the Add as Friend link.

Friends are just so you can find a person and have their empire name stored somewhere without a [[PLUS]] account.
You could have small alliances between your friends.

To add someone as a friend you have to go to their empire page, then click on their picture or where they could have a picture. Once your there, their should be an add as frind link under their picture.
